It's a destination that can be enjoyed by travelers seeking relaxation, adventure, or cultural exploration, making it a truly unique and enchanting place to visit. Some key highlights of Srinagar are Dal Lake, Mughal Gardens, Historical Sites, Local Shopping markets, etc.

The place is famous for its alpine meadows and adventurous treks. It's an ideal starting point for the famous Kashmir Great Lakes trek. The word Sonamarg (also spelled as Sonmarg) literally means a meadow of gold. It is named such because the peaks surrounding the town start to appear golden, due to the light of the setting sun  The Sindh River, with its crystal-clear waters, adds to the scenic beauty along the way. We will go for a day hike in the Thajiwas region and witness the majestic landscape of this gem.

Gulmarg, Meadow of Flowers: Gulmarg lies in a cup-shaped valley in the Pir Panjal Range of the Himalayas, at an altitude of 2,650 m (8,694 ft), 56 km from Srinagar. On our Kashmir Backpacking Trip, we will head to Gulmarg, which is also popular for its snow-capped mountains and ski slopes. One can also indulge in other activities such as ATV rides and pony rides in Gulmarg.

Pahalgam, All-season destination: The name Pahalgam is derived from two Kashmiri words: Puheyl (shepherd) and goam (village), which over time became Puheylgoam or Pahalgam. Pahalgam is a serene town nestled by the Lidder River. Because of its religious significance, natural beauty, and role as a base camp for the Amarnath Yatra, the town attracts roughly 70% of visitors to the valley. Pahalgam is a little different than other tourist destinations in Kashmir. While places like Gulmarg and Sonamarg are quite small in size, Pahalgam is comparatively bigger and spread over a larger area. Here, one can explore places like Betaab and Aru Valley and also indulge in a day hike to the offbeat trails away from the crowds.

Doopathri: A Hidden Gem: Doodhpathri is located approximately 42 kilometers from Srinagar, making it an easily accessible day trip for visitors to the capital city. The river's crystal-clear waters reflect the surrounding beauty, adding to the serene ambiance of the place.

Dachigam National Park: A trip to Kashmir is basically incomplete without a visit to the Dachigam National Park. What once served as the hunting grounds for the king, is one of the most beautiful and diverse destination in Kashmir. Spread over an area of 141 square kilometers, the park is nestled in the western Himalayas and is home to a wide range of flora and fauna, including the endangered Kashmir stag, also known as the Hangul.
