    The Srinagar Heritage Tour mostly covers the Downtown area of Srinagar and starts at 10:00 am

    The Tour starts from Tourist Reception Center, Srinagar.

     

    Our first stop is the Jamia Masjid.

     Jamia Masjid is one of the oldest mosques in Srinagar, with a history dating back over 600 years. Its impressive wooden architecture is a testament to the skills of the Kashmiri craftsmen who built it. Take a moment to appreciate the intricate details of the mosque's façade and the beautiful calligraphy on its walls.


    Next, we'll visit Bait-ul-Meeras 

     The Heritage Home' known as Bait-ul-Meeras. To resuscitate and educate the next generation about the rich heritage, art and craft of the Valley, a century-old building in the Aali Kadal neighbourhood of Srinagar have been converted into an art centre and a museum. 


    Our next stop is the Budshah Tomb 

     The Tomb of Zain-ul-Abidin is a beautiful shrine dedicated to one of the greatest rulers of Kashmir. Zain-ul-Abidin, also known as Budshah, was the eighth king of the Shah Mir dynasty and ruled Kashmir from 1420 to 1470


    Exploring Mahargunj Market we reach Khanqah-e-Moula.  

     This historic site is an important place of religious belief for Kashmiri Muslims and has been a spiritual center for over 700 years. The shrine is dedicated to Mir Sayyid Ali Hamdani, a famous Sufi saint who brought Islam to the Kashmir valley. 


    The next stop on Srinagar Heritage Tour is Chhati Padshahi Gurudwara

     Chatti Padshahi Gurudwara is probably the largest Sikh gurdwara in the entire Kashmir valley. The gurudwara is dedicated to Guru Hargobind, the sixth Sikh guru, who is believed to have visited the site during his travels. 


    Our next stop is Sharika Devi Temple

     The Sharika Devi Temple is situated on westerns slope of the Hari Parbat in Srinagar. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Jagadamba Sharika Bhagwati, an incarnation of Mata Durga/ Shakti. The idol inside the temple has 18 arms and is regarded as the presiding deity of the Srinagar by Hindu followers 


    The last stop of Srinagar Heritage Walk Tour is Hari Parbat Fort

     The fort was built during the reign of the Mughal emperor Akbar in the 16th century and has since witnessed many significant events in the history of the region. It is believed that the hill on which the fort stands was the residence of the legendary sage Kashyapa, and the fort was built on his ruins. The fort also houses a shrine dedicated to the famous Sufi saint, Makhdoom Sahib.

    Cancellation Policy for Srinagar Heritage Tour

    We understand that sometimes plans change and you may need to cancel your tour with us.

     In the event that you need to cancel, please note the following policies:

     

    1. Cancellation requests received at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled start time of the tour will be eligible for a full refund.
    2. Cancellation requests received within 24-48 hours of the scheduled start time of the tour will be eligible for a 50% refund.
    3. Cancellation requests received less than 24 hours before the scheduled start time of the tour will not be eligible for a refund.
    4. In case of unforeseen circumstances, such as adverse weather conditions or any other unavoidable reason, we reserve the right to cancel the tour. In such cases, we will offer a full refund to all participants.

    Srinagar Heritage tour can be taken throughout the year, but it is advised to avoid winter months. Apart form this, the best time to visit Srinagar is during the months from April to late October.
